Erin Burkett, PhD

Erin Burkett, PhD (she/her) is an environmental social scientist specializing in community-engaged research and outreach. As the Lake Superior Outreach Specialist with UW–Madison Division of Extension, Erin coordinates the Lake Superior Collaborative, which is a partnership of agencies, non-profit organizations and local governments conducting natural resource management and climate resilience projects in Wisconsin’s Lake Superior Basin. Erin also supports the Reserve’s Coastal Training Program and works out of the Northern Great Lakes Visitor Center in Ashland. Originally from Michigan, Erin was fortunate to grow up on both the Detroit River and the Upper Peninsula’s Lake Michigan coast.
