NOAA Digital Coast Trainings

Bringing NOAA’s Digital Coast to Lake Superior

Through its affiliation with NOAA’s Office for Coastal Management, the Lake Superior Reserve connects the resources of NOAA’s Digital Coast with a western Lake Superior audience – including many professional training opportunities. Expert instructors at NOAA have a catalog of engaging workshops on coastal topics ranging from adaptation planning to risk communication. In 2018, the coastal training program hosted Managing Visitor Use in Coastal and Marine Protected Areas in Superior, and in 2019 partnered with state coastal management programs to host Estimating your Local Marine Economy in Ashland and Duluth.

If there is a Digital Coast training you would be interested in bringing to the Lake Superior basin, please contact the coastal training program coordinator.
