Student Staff, Fellows and Scholars

Our Students are Superior

At the Lake Superior Reserve, our students are about as superior as they come! The interns, fellows and scholars who spend me here work on innovatve projects and conduct professional research on both land and water. Our staff offers mentorship and guidance to postsecondary students with many academic interests, and we are proud to work year-round with talented up-and-coming professionals.

Student Opportunities

We host specialized student opportunities

NOAA Hollings Scholars

The NOAA Hollings Scholarship program awards undergraduates with paid internship opportunities at NOAA facilities. The Lake Superior Reserve solicits summer Hollings Scholars on an as-needed basis.

Margaret A. Davidson Fellow

This two-year federally funded fellowship program places one graduate student at each Reserve. Through a research project, Fellows address a key reserve management need to help scientists and communities understand coastal challenges that may influence future policy and management strategies.

Project proposals must address one of five management needs identified at the Lake Superior Reserve.
