Coastal Training and Engagement provides opportunities for local decision-makers to learn about the factors that influence coastal systems, think critically about the role that they play in coastal management, and cultivate skills and confidence that will result in mindful coastal and estuary management in western Lake Superior communities.

Who are coastal decision-makers? Resource managers, local officials, regulatory agency staff, and professionals across many disciplines influence coastal environments and make critical decisions affecting the health of watersheds, water and habitat quality, treasured coastal spaces, and coastal community well-being. We invite local decision-makers to explore the Reserve’s Coastal Training and Engagement offerings. These training and learning opportunities are designed to empower local leaders to meet today’s coastal challenges.
