A free, informal speaker series about the St. Louis River Estuary in Duluth-Superior
The River Talk series continues at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 9, at the Lake Superior Estuarium (3 Marina Dr., Superior, Wis.).
Tiffany Sprague with the Natural Resources Research Institute, Andrea Crouse with the City of Superior and Todd Carlson with the City of Duluth will present: “Water Connects Us: Getting to Know Your Urban Streams.”
Come learn about what streams are in your neighborhood and the environmental challenges they face. Our panelists will take your questions and will provide information about pollutants, stormwater control on construction sites, flooding, and ways to help our streams.
The Lake Superior National Estuarine Research Reserve and the Minnesota and Wisconsin Sea Grant programs offer this series of informal evening talks about the St. Louis River Estuary. Everyone is invited and refreshments will be available.
Check the River Talk website for details. If you miss a talk, visit Wisconsin Sea Grant’s “Great Lakes Takes” blog for a summary.
